Please do not contact the practice about your COVID-19 vaccination status. We cannot provide letters showing this information.

However, following the announcement about the new traffic light system for international travel, we wanted to share some information with patients about how you can demonstrate your COVID-19 vaccination status.

How to access your COVID-19 vaccination status
You can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the free NHS App from 17 May. You can access the app through mobile devices such as a smartphone or by tablet. Proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status will be shown within the NHS App. The government recommends that people register with the app before booking international travel.

If you are not already registered for the NHS App, you might find it helpful to view the following video, which talks through the process of registering for it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0SCcLtw8JA.

If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine. The government expects the letter to take up to 5 days to reach you.

More information about how to you will be able to demonstrate your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status on the government website. The service will go live from Monday 17 May.
