Home Delivery of Medicines and Appliances During the COVID-19 Outbreak
Due to the new national restrictions across England, new advice has been issued to people who are clinically extremely vulnerable from COVID-19 (those previously referred to as shielded patients).
People who are clinically extremely vulnerable will be advised by the government not to go to a pharmacy. The NHS England nationally commissioned 'Community Pharmacy Home Delivery Service' , that was set up during the first wave of the pandemic and was decommissioned at the end of July 2020, will be reinstated for all patients on the Shielded Patient List in England from the 5th of November 2020 until the 3rd of December 2020.
