Greener Practice Initiave
The Greener Practice initiaive is trying to help the planet as a whole. The NHS is encouraged to help reduce their carbon footprint. As a practice we already recycle used batteries, paper & carboard which do not contain any patient identifable data, are slowly replacing all our lights to be low voltage LED ones, working towards motion sensor lighting in the whole of the practice. Try and purchase where possible items not in plastic but recyclable materials.
What patients can do to help: Did you know that used inhalers do not get recycled even if you place them in your recycling bin? You can return used and used inhalers to your local pharmacy for their safe disposal. Recycle any packaging that your medication comes in, removing your details first. Don't keep unused medications return it to your local pharmacy for safe disposal
