We are in the process of improving your access to General Practice services.  Our new triage appointment system will commence on Tuesday 22nd JULY 2025. This system will help us assess your requests quickly, allocate appointments based on clinical need, and improve continuity of care. 

Please send all medical queries and appointment requests via our website The Selsdon Park Medical Practice, then select appointments and finally select booking a GP appointment  You can then access the online request forms. We will respond the same day, allowing those with urgent needs to get prompt appointments.

If you do not have a smartphone, please call the practice. Our Reception Team will guide you through the simple questions and help you complete the online form.  All requests will be assessed as soon as possible and in the same way, regardless of how you contacted the surgery.

If an appointment is needed, you will be contacted by phone or sent an SMS text message with a self-book link.

General Practice is evolving. Besides GPs and Nurses, our Practice now has many skilled professionals. We might suggest you see another Healthcare Professional for your care. This could be a Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Paramedic, or Social Prescriber. We may also guide you to external services like Pharmacy First.

The aim is to make access easier for everyone. We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Contacting the surgery for medical and non medical advice - please use accurx to complete an online form, this will be sent straight to the surgery. All enquires will be triaged & you will receive a response from thje surgery by text messsage. Patients do not need to take any action as registration, medical records and care plans will remain unaffected by the move.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to do anything to continue receiving medical services from Selsdon Park Medical Practice after 31^st March 2025? 

No – all patients currently visiting Mitchley Avenue are already registered with Selsdon Park, so there is no need to do anything. You can access all Selsdon Park services online, by phone or in person via the contact details at the top of this letter

Do I need to do anything to make sure I continue to get my regular medication?  

No – if you take regular medication, there will be no change in how you order and receive your medication. You can continue to order via the NHS app or by contacting Selsdon Park.  

Will opening hours be the same at Selsdon Park Medical Practice?

As well as being open from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, Selsdon Park Medical Practice has extended opening hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until 8:00 pm, with some early morning sessions from 7.30 am-8:00 am from Monday to Friday.

How can I get to Selsdon Park Medical Practice?  

Selsdon Park is about a mile from Mitchley Avenue Surgery, opposite Sainsbury’s car park. Selsdon Park is well served by the 412, 409, and 64 bus routes. There is also ample car parking on the adjoining side roads.

How will housebound and vulnerable patients be seen?  

Patients who are housebound will continue to receive home visits as long as they are within the catchment area of our practice, which will remain the same as before.   

Can I register with another GP surgery?  

You do not need to register with a new GP surgery; however, if you wish to, you can find details of other surgeries in the area Visit nhs.uk to find a GP surgery near you.
